Valentines in Niagara 2010 anyone else going?

John and Allie reported on the Canadian couples convention hotel takeover last year in 2009.

My wife and I are considering attending this year in 2010 the weekend of Feb 5-7th. The TABOTA website has info but not the actual hotel beyond the fact that it will be a complete hotel takeover and it includes a waterpark. It does not say exactly what is included in the package deal. Meals? Alcohol? I assume the price of 299 per person covers at least your room and access to all the events and parties. Anyone else going or have more details?? Is it the same hotel as last year??

We had so much fun last year. If you can swing it, go!

Not sure if it will be in the same hotel as last year but if you call or write them I am sure they will give you more specifics. Last year was at a Ramada. The rooms were clean and nice but nothing too fancy. We loved it.

They had free breakfast buffets and a few late night pizzas but other than that, you are on your own for food and drinks. It was very affordable and most importantly the people were wonderful. Love those Canadians.

We're going again!!

The TABOTA Valentine's event is at the same hotel as last year.  As John said, the package includes buffet breakfast, late night munchies, access to all the seminars, dances and of course.....play rooms!  They send all the info. closer to the date of the event regarding directions, location, etc. but you can contact them with any questions.  

This is definitely a hotel take over.....if I remember correctly, we mingled with 200+ couples last year.  The "waterpark" that is hyped on the website is a large pool and 2 hot tubs surrounded in a tropical themed setting with guest rooms around the perimeter.  (sorry.....no giant waterslides and wave pools   )

Although drinks were not included, we had no problem slipping back to our room and grabbing something to bring back with us to the dances or seminars.  If you happen to get a pool side room in the atrium it's even easier as this is where most of the weekend events take place.

Thanks for the information. Well we are going! We have signed up for this already based on John and Allie's experience and recommendation. This will be a first event of this type for us......Looking very much forward to it!

Too bad about the tropical "Water Park" being over hyped. Having looked at TABOTA's website I was imagining naked people sliding down waterslides on tubes and such. I know that there are several indoor waterparks in the Niagara region which is why the claim on the advertising website seemed plausible.
SalaciousCpl can you confirm John's recollection that last year it was at the Ramada? I had seen some very poor online reviews of the Ramada chain in Niagara as to their overall cleanliness. Can you recall the hotel name and address?

Any chance John and Allie are attending again??
