Hey all!! The trip to desire has been fantasy fodder for the last couple of weeks. Any more and I'm starting to worry that I'm gonna wear Willy down to the nub The question we have though, is that for the money could we find a couples resort in Europe? The pros to Mexico are: short flight, hanging out with all the cool people from SC, SIF, and the bhavens and all the listeners who by default have to be cool as well. The cons are, damn it we've done Mexico to death!! We've never gone to a couples resort, and going with a group like this has lots of advantages, but we like to look at all the options. Dig? I do hope to see all of you all there

Obviously you can check out travel prices in Europe right now, but having done couples resorts for many years I think this Desire trip is the deal of a lifetime.

As much as I would love to adventure in Europe and find a wonderful couple's resort, I'd lean more towards Mexico no matter how over done.
My reasoning, the more the merrier. For instance: I've been to each Disney at least 5-10 times. On a normal day I wouldn't consider going again. Add friends & naughtiness & I'm there no question. For us, the difference between going with friends & going without is HUGE and would be a deal breaker if we were going alone. As a matter of fact, when vanilla life almost meant we'd be going alone, we seriously considered canceling altogether (yes Virginia, these folks are that damn much fun!).

Thanks Jen, that helps alot. Love the cast BTW. Probably see you there. Now we just have to train ourselves to stay up until the wee hours, we rarely see 11pm around here. I suppose breakfast happens around 2 or 3 in the afternoon? ooooo, just in time for happy hours. Margaritas with my eggs? I say YES!!!

Oh good. then I won't feel so bad that my body seems to be trained to shut down around 9pm at the moment. We'll just be the early birds & get all the good chairs by the pool!

A little late, but let me add my $0.02.  Desire is a destination that just happens to be in Mexico.  You've done Mexico to death yes, but the last time we went to a Desire resort we left the resort a grand total of two times in a week, each for only a couple of hours, and both times decided that we would have been better off staying at the resort.  It was that good!  It could have been on an island, in Mexico, in Europe, Africa etc.... except for the staff you wouldn't have known or cared what country it was in.  All this without this great group. 

As for staying up late it will happen.  You'll see some sexy people dancing at the disco and want to stay up a bit to bump, grind, touch, laugh etc, and all of the sudden it will be late.

If you are adventurous you'll find the hot tub after the disco and uhhh oohhh where did the time go?  All of the sudden you'll be needing that 2am BLT or Pizza to get your strength back.  It just happens. 

As for me, I started a little habit of falling into the pool after the breakfast had long ago been closed (only saw it one day while we were there) and grabbing a mudslide (good breakfast drink) to float around with until the blood started flowing again. 

Think of Desire as it's own destination, Mexico is just the country you pass through to get there.

Hi... just new to this forum and looking at the Desire posts.... some of the older ones from '08 discussed the issue of Desire, Cancun turning into and NOT clothing optional resort... I skimmed those posts but am wondering now, what's the status of that?  I know the change of ownership was to take place next month (Feb 2009).  We are hoping to attend that week in April and hoping it's still what it says it is. Yes?

Pretty sure that that was the Desire Los Cabos *only* that was changing.  The current trip to Cancun is expected to be full-strength fun!

Exactly!  The Cabo location had to tame down because of new construction right next door tall enough to look right down onto the pool and hot tub deck.  Recent photos show that they have strung curtains to limit the view a bit, but that resort is switching from a Desire format to the tamer Temptations. 
Desire Cancun is still the Desire format we knowabd love.  That's why the dates and destination changed from the original plan to the current one.  John and Allie, together with Susan and Gary from Dream Pleasure Tours did a great job in making  suretyis sexy group will have every opportunity to generate new swingercast material worth remembering.

At Desire, running around naked is the tame part.

There are other things you do, naked around the jacuzzi, in the palapas, etc. that set Desire apart.
