I would say that Suz is also beyond the "Curious" phase, we're just still new enough that she's in the looking for more experiences stage.
After seeing that photo she now has a very strong opinion about where she wants to get some of that experience from.

We felt the same way before Swingfest.  And we were really amazed at how well we seemed to get along w/ everyone!

Just wait until John throws up that damn countdown timer.  The only time that it seems to go fast is when you are finally at the event.  Otherwise, you'd swear it's like the clock in Groundhog Day, w/ the number falling down in slow motion.

I know, it is kind of cruel isn't it?  The only reason I can stand having it on my laptop is that I have another counter right above it for a trip we're taking to Vancouver BC with several other couples.  That counter reads only 18 days.
Which reminds me, I need to take my Tux in for alterations.

For some reason C&S's last post reminded me that I must remember to re-apply for my passport for Cabo. I put mine away 4 years ago in a VERY safe place.

Do I need to say it?   Undecided

Good call!  Last time we had to get ours renewed they took forever to get it done.  Anyone thinking about going needs to get that done right now.  Nothing like having to stay home (or drive down from San Diego) because the Passport office doesn't know the meaning of the word "Rush"

Yes!  Get that passport!  I'd hate to have to skip Desire after finding out that you're not going to be there.

That re-reminds me that I still don't have a passport!  What all do you need in order to obtain one?

This website has good information. I went to a post office nearby me that issues passports, but evidently I'm gonna have some other problems because now I have to report mine
lost and then get a new one. They take passports very seriously. Apparently you can't have two valid passports in the same name issued to you at a time... bastards!!

It looks like your local post office issues passports with the photos taken on site, but I don't see why you couldn't use one of the photos that B takes of you  Evil

You'd be most welcome in any country you visit... Wink

First, lots and lots of patience,

Then, proof of citizenship, if you don't have an expired passport then a certified copy of your birth certificate.
Proof of identity (driver's license, government/military ID, etc)
Two identical 2x2 photographs - They say white background, full face etc etc.
And I believe it is $100 (application fee plus execution fee)
You should have the application printed out and completed except the signature before you go in.

Had a friend tell me you can pay an extra $60 for an expedited passport.  He was able to secure one in about a week's time for a short notice trip to England.

Yes, you can pay extra for expedited service.  I've heard really mixed reviews of what expedited means.  One week that you just mentioned is the fastest that I've ever heard of. I heard from one person who waited 4 weeks for "rush" service.   Maybe they are getting it together?  Sill, now would be a great time to get it for March.  Adult passports are good for 10 years so might as well.
